BEHIND THE MASK CONTEST!Hello dearies!

BEHIND THE MASK!
This theme is conceptual, it is wide and will let you guys free your imagination!

4. The deadline is on September 30 2012.

10Can you remember what you were doing 10 years ago today? Most likely not -- I can't remember what I was doing 10 years ago yesterday

However, 10 years ago today, I signed up for deviantART, and the rest as they say, is history.
I thought about writing a super reflective journal, but it would be too difficult to encompass all the things I wanted to say in one journal, therefore I'll simply say THANK YOU to everyone who has been part of a decade of deviousness with me, and here's to many more.

Hello `miontre, could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hello and Bonjour!

Let me first say that I am terrible at writing about myself!

I'm a hobbyist photographer - at the moment I'm really into Abstract and Surreal, but I like all types of photography. My other artistic interests are editing my photos, photomanipulation, graphic design, typography, web design, and 3D art. Some of those I don't do very often, but I find them all pretty interesting!

The only web design work I've been doing lately has been creating journal skins on deviantART - I've never had the opportunity to put my actual web designs online, and so skins are the best way I can do that at the moment!
How did you first get into creating Journal Skins?
I'd always been interested in creating Journal skins, and I'd known CSS for quite some time before joining dA, but I didn't have the patience to learn how to use

So what is Seniority?
If you've been on Deviant art for sometime, you've probably noticed that may members have different signs in front of their names :faq106: Among these signs, there's one that we'll be discussing today: the ' or senior symbol.

Not So Traditional Tuesdays #16Well, 16 of these and 52 of the other feature journals, not too bad! This wasn't something I that had I planned on doing. Originally this was just a one off article because I was bored one day, and started typing in random search words. It is still fun to do though, so I think it will keep going until it no longer is.
I like to think that the things that make one piece of art great applies, for the most part, to other genres. A painter can learn how light and shadow fall from photography, photo-manipulators can learn about composition from a great Manga drawing, and literature can give you the inspiration to try something new or take your work to the next step. You may never try all art forms you see! You can however take what you learn from them and incorporate that into your own work. It could be the difference between stagnating and that breakthrough every artist wants to find! Now on with the show!

Traditional Tuesdays #52OMG OMFG OMFG! This is week fifty-two of this little article, and I can honestly say that I didn't think it would last this long. The night I started this feature, I was bored and just browsing around the Traditional Gallery. I was finding all kinds great artwork, that for one reason or another I couldn't/wouldn't give a DD. It could be because they had a DD recently, but mainly it was for a link to go back and see what they created next, and if they took it to the next level. This week, my attention is turned to a now-defunct act from Germany. Líam's sound falls somewhere between post-rock and blackgaze, which itself is an obscure hybrid of shoegaze and black metal. What's different about this band is that they are mostly instrumental, and mostly within the bounds of post-rock: their last release in particular has a markedly bright and iridescent sound amidst the melancholy. As such, I recommend this to those who have enjoyed this sound in the past, but have drawn a line in the sand at the harsh vocal delivery that is synonymous with

I really enjoyed seeing behind the scenes of your fab and very unique artwork

I hope this isn't covered elsewhere but as a fairly new watcher i'll take the risk of asking you what are probably very overasked questions! Which markers is it you use for the details? Is it inks or watercolours you're using? Also, I couldn't see from the video but had you sketched an outline prior to starting or was that all freehand?

Your style is very graceful and you've gained yet another massive fan in me
